Mutual insurance company PPS Mutual has made a new state-based appointment in an effort to support and manage its adviser relationships in the life risk space.
Richard Hopwood will take on the role of Queensland state manager and will be responsible for managing adviser relationships and growing the business within the region.
Mr Hopwood spent five years at ANZ Wealth as a business development manager for life risk, where he was charged with managing relationships between key stakeholders as well as providing product and technical training to advisers.
He will report to director of distribution Brian Pillemer, who referred to Mr Hopwood as “a welcome addition to the PPS Mutual team”.
“We are confident that his knowledge and experience within the retail insurance industry will have a beneficial impact as we continue to grow our exclusive partnerships with high calibre financial advisers,” Mr Pillemer said.
In July, PPS Mutual appointed Sabrina Sequeira-Walmsley as NSW state manager.
