AIA has opened its 2018 Healthiest Workplace Survey as part of its AIA Vitality wellness program.
In a statement, AIA said it was the second year the survey has been run, adding that “it is the first science-based workplace survey” to address lifestyle, stress, and mental and physical health within Australia’s workforce.
“Promoting employee health and wellbeing is an important opportunity to have a positive impact on the lives of 12 million working Australians,” said AIA chief executive Damien Mu.
“It also supports organisations across Australia looking to create a more productive and engaging workplace, and it has a significant impact to business performance as it can save companies millions of dollars.”
Research from the company’s first survey found that, on average, there is an annual productivity loss of 43 days per employee, which AIA said equates to an average loss of $10 million to the employer annually.
