On a new episode of the ifa Show, host Maja Garaca Djurdjevic is joined by the managing director of HUB24, Andrew Alcock.
Andrew joined the podcast to talk about the role platforms are expected to play in helping reduce the time and cost it takes to implement advice.
Andrew also touched on the power of technology, detailing why he believes technology is key to servicing the growing pool of Aussies needing advice.
“We can’t help Australians who need advice if we don’t embrace more technology,” Andrew said.
He also stressed the importance of collaboration between advisers, tech providers and the government to embrace the many opportunities technology creates.
“Our goals are about ultimately reducing the cost of risk. If you just don’t get reliable information, how can you manage your compliance and your risk?
“I think there’s definitely an appetite for people to embrace technology, but it has to work. And my view is that this industry is yet to collaborate to really make it work.
“Collaboration’s going to be key.”
