MDS continues service expansion with CFS partnership

The self-licensing specialist group has secured a partnership with Colonial First State to provide its adviser network with high-quality technical support.

In the latest expansion of its service offering, My Dealer Services (MDS) has announced the partnership with Colonial First State’s technical services team as it continues at a “cracking pace” to grow its adviser network and support services in 2025.

According to MDS director and founder Alexander Euvrard, the deal with CFS will provide MDS members with the most up-to-date online technical reference and strategy guides.

This support will cover a range of key topics, including superannuation, tax, self-managed super funds, aged care, social security and estate planning.

Additionally, the firm said that through this partnership, its advisers will also gain access to CFS FirstTech podcast, webinar, monthly bulletins and client fact sheets.

CFS’ executive director of new business, Chris Mather, welcomed the initiative and the opportunity to “help advisers deliver great outcomes for their clients”.

Meanwhile, MDS head of strategy Ashley Mahadeea said this move is yet another on its path to guiding and supporting its advisers through the self-licensing process by continuing to provide an ever wider range of additional services.

“Our educational partnership with CFS is a great example of how we do this. We go out on behalf of time-poor smaller adviser groups and find the best and most innovative providers in their field to support them as needed at competitive rates,” Mahadeea said.

This expansion follows MDS last month unveiling a suite of new offerings, including a partnership with Australian fintech company Claras, a collaboration with Broker Support Global, and the launch of the MDS Licensee Compliance Portal.

Speaking at the time, Euvrard shared that MDS would continue to seek opportunities to expand the business in 2025, improving its service offerings for new and existing members.

“Over the coming months, we will be launching additional services and reaching out to more advisers to share our core belief that self-licensing is nothing more than removing a layer to allow advisers and practices to run their business their way, with the client front and centre of everything they do,” he said.
