Viola Private Wealth grows team of HNW advisers

Despite launching less than six months ago, the Sydney-based advice firm has expanded, welcoming a family office specialist financial adviser to its team.

Launched by Charlie Viola in September following his acquisition of key operational aspects of Pitcher Partners’ wealth management practice, Viola Private Wealth specialises in managing the complex needs of high-net-worth (HNW) individuals and families.

Now, the firm has announced the appointment of Angus Mann as a financial adviser, expanding its workforce to four advisers, including Peter Nevill, Daniel Todorcevski, and Viola.

With 17 years of experience in the financial services industry, Mann has earned a reputation as a “conservative, safe pair of hands” with an “encyclopedic knowledge”, according to the firm.

Most recently, Mann was the director of wealth at Mutual Trust for more than four years, leading the Sydney office in funds under management and revenue.

Prior to this, he served as a private wealth manager for Morgans Financial and held a number of positions at Bell Potter Securities, starting as a dealer’s assistant and progressing to associate adviser and later a private client adviser following the completion of his diploma of financial services from Kaplan in 2012.

In his new role, the firm said Mann will work closely with families to define their wealth’s purpose, addressing intergenerational goals and “creating a legacy”, while the appointment signifies a strengthening in the firm’s commitment to delivering bespoke, client-first wealth management solutions.

Chief executive and founding partner of Viola Private Wealth, Sean Ward, said this appointment further strengthens the firm’s commitment to high-quality service.

“His depth of experience and strong alignment with our client-first philosophy make him a perfect fit for Viola Private Wealth,” Ward said.

“Angus’ ability to guide families through the complexities of wealth management, while always prioritising their broader goals, will be a tremendous asset to our clients.

“Bringing Angus onto the team is a clear sign that Viola Private Wealth is achieving its objective of attracting the industry’s best talent as the firm continues to grow. A trusted family adviser, Mann is highly regarded by clients who often describe him as ‘a member of the family’.”

Likewise, Mann said he was pleased to be joining the team at Viola, noting that the firm’s priorities align much to his own professional values.

“Viola Private Wealth’s bespoke approach to wealth management resonates deeply with my own values. I look forward to working with a team that prioritises long-term relationships and helps families define the purpose of their wealth, ensuring it serves their needs today and leaves a meaningful legacy for future generations,” Mann said.
