Morningstar expands AdviserLogic team

The advice tech company has appointed two new members to its AdviserLogic team, which it says further solidifies its “ongoing commitment” to improving its product offerings.

Morningstar has announced the expansion of its AdviserLogic business development team with the hire of Thomas Tolevski as national director and Raymond Au as business development manager (BDM).

Set to work with advice practices across Australia, Morningstar said the pair will be essential for driving the company’s growth strategy as it “continues to enhance AdviserLogic’s product and service offerings”.

Au brings with him a considerable amount of experience, having spent more than two years with Findex, most recently as the head of operations, wealth, and more than 12 years with Iress across a number of senior roles, including state manager for Victoria and Tasmania, and southern regional manager, before which he was a financial adviser for four years.

Prior to joining Morningstar, Tolevski was a BDM at Midwinter Financial Services for more than two years. Tolevski also spent more than six years with Insignia in a number of roles, though the majority of this time was spent as a BDM, and five years at AMP as an operations specialist.

The pair will be based in Melbourne, joining the existing team of business development professionals and client service support staff, providing advice practices with technology solutions, onboarding and overall service.

Morningstar head of wealth solutions James Louw said this further solidifies the company’s dedication to better providing for its advisers.

“The appointments are a reflection of our ongoing commitment to delivering solutions to advice practices by continuing to invest in both our team and AdviserLogic,” Louw said.

“Our dedicated on-the-ground national team of business development managers support advisers with the modern CRM, regulatory compliance and comprehensive advice tools that empower advice businesses for success.”

This follows last week’s announcement that Centrepoint Alliance would be making AdviserLogic available to practices operating under its licence, marking a “significant milestone” in their ongoing collaboration.

Morningstar said it expects to see a continued increase on the 2,500 advice professionals already utilising the software on the back of the Centrepoint deal.

“We are committed to delivering Morningstar’s integrated solutions in adviser technology and research to Centrepoint Alliance. Our focus remains on supporting the advice industry with cutting-edge CRM, advice generation and regtech tools,” Chris Galloway, Morningstar country leader and managing director wealth, said at the time.
