The wealth management firm has expanded its team to strengthen its advice capabilities for its family office and high-net-worth clients.
LGT Crestone has announced the appointment of Steve Collins and Mason Allamby to the firm’s Melbourne office as partners and investment advisers.
Collins and Allamby will be leading a team at the firm with the support of Chris Quigley, Steve de Bolfo, and Amelia Kelaher providing professional advice to high-net-worth families, family offices, and not-for-profit organisations.
Collins brings more than two decades of experience to the role having worked as an investment adviser and partner at Escala Partners for more than 10 years and as executive director and investment adviser at UBS Wealth Management for more than 11 years prior to that.
In addition to his new role, Allamby is also chairman for the Friedreich Ataxia Research Association and founder of the Tristan Allamby Research Fund.
Allamby also brings more than 25 years’ experience in financial services to LGT Crestone having worked as an adviser and partner at Escala Partners for more than 10 years, an investment adviser for UBS Wealth Management for almost eight years, and a financial planner for Mercer for more than six years.
The firm said these appointments reflect its commitment to the “growth and enhancement of services for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients and family offices”.
It added that the expansion of its team is supported by its recent growth in the Australian market, referring to its 17 per cent increase in client assets under advice and total revenue, as well as the doubling of its Lombard portfolio, over the 2023–24 financial year.
LGT Crestone chief executive Michael Chisholm said he is pleased to welcome Collins and Allamby to the team.
“Their client-centric ethos and exceptional track record reflect LGT Crestone’s commitment to excellence in financial advisory, and align with our entrenched client-focused culture,” Chisholm said.
“With a deep understanding of the market and wealth of experience, Mason and Steve play a critical role in our work providing tailored financial advice and strategies to our valued clients.”
Speaking on his new role, Collins said is excited to be joining the firm.
“I am passionate about helping clients design and build portfolios that help achieve their long-term financial goals and am excited to be working with the dedicated team at LGT Crestone to continue doing just that,” he said.
Allamby added: “I am thrilled to join and lead the next phase of LGT Crestone’s growth, and to leverage my experience in providing personalised investment solutions that align with the goals of our esteemed clientele.”
