TAL has rolled out a webinar covering the key areas of underperformance identified in the FASEA exam.
Offered through TAL’s adviser education program, TAL Risk Academy, the free webinar titled 'Explore difficult FASEA exam topics' is giving an overview on areas from the exam that FASEA has identified as weaknesses.
The topics covered by the webinar include advice regulatory and legal requirements, advice construction and applied ethical and professional reasoning and communication.
TAL head of licensees and partnerships Beau Riley said the areas had been outlined by FASEA as general areas of weakness displayed by candidates.
“The purpose of TAL’s new webinar is to highlight these areas of weakness and to provide material and practice tests that enable exam candidates to cover these areas appropriately in their exam preparation,” Mr Riley said.
“The FASEA exam can be a daunting process and our goal is to support advisers with guidance that enables them to focus their studies and preparation so they can sit the exam with confidence.”
Financial Planning Brisbane senior adviser Jake Wilkins attended the TAL Risk Academy FASEA MasterClass ahead of sitting the exam earlier in the year. He said the guidance had been helpful to focus on the right areas.
“The FASEA exam was very difficult but I am incredibly thankful for the process and the advancements it means for the financial advice industry as it journeys to become a recognised profession,” Mr Wilkins commented.
TAL has said it listens to feedback from licensees and advisers and evolved its Risk Academy courses in line with market developments, with the aim to meet advisers’ needs.
