A national advisory and accounting firm has appointed six new partners to boost its client service proposition amid the COVID-19 crisis.
In a statement, Pitcher Partners said it had appointed new partners to its businesses across Queensland, NSW, Victoria and South Australia.
This included the appointment of Chris Hanna as principal of business and family advisory in Adelaide, David Bedford as a partner in investment advisory in Melbourne, and Peter Lawrence as partner in private business and family advisory in Newcastle.
In addition, Jake Berger was appointed as a partner in business and family advisory in Sydney, while Cheryl Mason was made a partner in audit and assurance in Brisbane and Kieran Wallis was appointed partner in corporate finance in Brisbane.
Pitcher Partners National Association chairman John Brazzale said the appointments came at a time when client support was needed most.
“Today’s announcement is recognition of years of dedication of our newly appointed partners in living our firm ethos of personal client care and high professional standards,” Mr Brazzale said.
“Client care and support is at the heart of what we do, and this support is more important than ever as businesses navigate unprecedented challenges, but also newfound opportunities.”
Mr Brazzale added that it was the firm’s job to provide extra support to clients who were doing it tough in the current environment.
“Today’s news does not come as an overnight decision. It has been years in the making for our colleagues, who have demonstrated consistent care and commitment to our clients, particularly in times of need like the world we find ourselves in today,” he said.
