Midwinter Financial Services has made three appointments to lead the sales, marketing and customer service functions of the cloud-based financial advice business.
Previous director of Milliman adviser services, Andrew Whelan, has been hired as the new head of distribution, leading the sales and marketing team.
In his new role, Mr Whelan is responsible for developing new business opportunities as well as supporting existing clients. He is reported to have more than 20 years’ experience in the financial advice market.
Former StatePlus financial planner Christelle Murr has also joined Midwinter as its new client services lead, heading up the customer support team.
Midwinter said her financial planning and client services background will support her role in building a support network for the company’s retail and corporate clients.
Finally, Deborah Dalziel has taken up the position of marketing manager, bringing more than 10 years’ experience. Midwinter said she will lead a transformation of its brand, to support its future direction.
Midwinter chief executive Jeff Hall said the appointments are key as the company prepares for its next phase of growth.
“Midwinter has been well-established in the Australian financial advice software market for more than a decade,” Mr Hall said.
“With the recent industry changes and our acquisition by Bravura last year, this is an exciting time of growth for the Midwinter business.”
The company noted its team has grown across all departments, including sales, support and development.
