Advice platform Xplore Wealth has appointed a new non-executive director to its board, replacing non-executive chair Peter Brook.
Julie Berry currently serves as director of the Tax Practitioners Board and as director of the Future2 Foundation, according to a statement to the ASX.
Before joining Xplore Wealth, Ms Berry was chair of a subsidiary company of CountPlus, chair of the Financial Planning Association of Australia and chair of the Institute of Financial Advisers in New Zealand.
She replaced Mr Brook, who formally departed the board on Monday. The board will now have four non-executive directors.
Xplore chairman Alex Hutchison said the board welcomes Ms Berry’s appointment.
“Ms Berry’s experience demonstrates leadership, change management and stakeholder management skills,” Mr Hutchison said.
“These skills together with her broad financial services industry experience that includes financial advice, superannuation, not-for-profit, government and domestic and overseas regulation, are well regarded and the board looks forward to her contribution for the mutual benefit of the Xplore Wealth business, its clients and stakeholders.”
