The Association of Financial Advisers has announced the appointment of two new state directors to its board.
At its annual general meeting in the Gold Coast last week, the AFA announced the appointment of Glen James as NSW/ACT state director and Patricia Garcia as Queensland state director.
Mr James is a financial adviser and managing director of Fortify Financial on the NSW Central Coast, while Ms Garcia is director and financial adviser with WB Financial Bowen Hills in Queensland.
Ms Garcia also acts as the current national chair of AFA Genxt.
"We welcome Glen and Patricia to the AFA board and are looking forward to working with them,” said AFA chief executive Philip Kewin.
“We would also like to thank outgoing NSW/ACT director Jeff Thurecht and outgoing Queensland director Tim Ross for their valuable contributions while serving on the AFA board."
Members of the AFA board hold office for two years and must be practising financial advisers.
